A small update to cgBreakdown. Will now update params on refmodels, which tend to report themselves as locked. Thanks to Alex Kong for the heads up.

Hello Chris 🙂
I asked myself, if it’s somehow possible to make cgbreakdown work with:
-Character sets
-Animation layers
-Animation mixer: Animation track there, like a layer, but still working on the original animation from the cons.
I’m one of these crazy SI guys @ AM (Alumni)working on my demo 🙂
Please let me (us) know if it’s somehow possible to integrate these functions. If you don’t got time/use for it please let me know, would be cool if you would allow us to reprogram the tool(?).
Later animator,
Qwesto
Add:
Oh for the last point I mean the track in the mixer is disabled, but the original animation is existent, like preserving it by storing it but to be able to use cgB on the fcurves which come from the cons.
Hope that makes sense somehow.
Would be even cool to use it directly on the fcurves of clips, but not sure at all if it’s technically possible?
Cheers
Hey Joe,
Thanks for the thoughts. Nice to see people are using it.
* character key sets – i *think* that it copes with these already, you may just have to make a selection via the key set. may have to double check on that one.
* anim layers – SDK access to these is spotty, last time i looked (v7 ish?), so the best that i was able to do was kinda ignore them and not error out in a screaming heap.
* mixer tracks… hmmmm, tricky…
i shall have a look into some stuff if / when i get a chance…
cheers,
chrisg
This would be great Chris 🙂 🙂 🙂
Charater sets: Aahhh okay, works with selected cons, tried it works.
The reason I’ve asked you about all the layer and mixer stuff is actually polish/retiming/comparing the actual animation while editing and even for editing versions of clips. These “techniques” would open a bunch of new possibilities. It works, but I’m really missing cgB for speeding up the process.
Thanks a lot for your reply,
Joe
